Will Smriti Irani be chosen over Rahul Gandhi and Kumar Vishwas in Amethi?

The television actor-turned-politician will take on both, the Congress Vice President in his constituency and also the Aam Aadmi Party candidate
Smriti Irani has been nominated by BJP to stand against Rahul Gandhi and Kumar Vishwas in Amethi. She was jubilant with her being nominated by the national party for the constituency which has been under Congress domain for ages. talking to a leading daily Smriti said, “We will give a tough fight and win.”

Our khabroos inform us that the Smriti is seen in BJP as a candidate who can put up a decent fight against Jr Gandhi. If we recall Smriti became a household name all thanks to her television stint as Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The 38- year old has very little to lose. If she wins then it will be a big bonus for BJP and if she gets defeated then she, anyways, has four more years in the Rajya Sabha.

Now only time will tell us as to whether our very dear television bahu will be able to give the Congress and AAP candidates a tough time, or will she just remain a pony who was there as a show piece! Watch this space for further details on the same.
