A 14-Year-Old Boy Was Charged With Raping A 10-Year-Old Girl In Broad Daylight

In a sad and reprehensible show that a rape culture is still very much alive, one 14-year-old boy was charged with raping a 10-year-old girl in Shrewsbury, England.
The 14-year-old could not be named for legal reasons, but police confirmed that after questioning, the boy was charged with both attempted rape and rape.
He’ll first appear in court tomorrow, when more details about the incident might be released.
It’s unthinkable to try to consider the trauma this 10-year-old has been subjected to, and also troubling to think about the conditions in which this 14-year-old decided to sexually assault another individual.
With so many details still unknown, perhaps the only thing that’s clear is that control over the female body is something that some people view with a certain sense of entitlement.
It’s sick to see such behavior in someone so young, but hopefully he can be brought to justice and his victim can get the counseling and help she’ll need.
