Pakistani court orders case against actress Meera, husband for alleged sex tapeA Pakistani sessions court today directed the Federal Investigation Agency to register a case against film actress Meera and her husband Captain Naveed in connection with their alleged sex video which they uploaded on the social media. According to Dawn.com, during the hearing, the court concurred with the police that that the right to register a case against Meera and Naveed was within the jurisdiction of the FIA.

The court had earlier directed police to register a case against Meera and her husband on the basis of a petition which claimed that the controversial video of the couple had brought disrepute to the nation. The court then repeatedly summoned the couple and when they repeatedly failed to appear before it, asked the police in the last hearing to file a case against them.

Meera, on the other hand has denied the video's authenticity and called it as an attempt to undermine her position and credibility.

Although Meera claimed that it was a fake video, Naveed had insisted since he and Meera are husband and wife there was no point in making the video controversial.

"We are a couple and those making hue and cry over (our sex) video should stop propagating against us," he had aid.
