Congress hints at bigger role for Priyanka Gandhi

New Delhi: The Congress party on Thursday dropped massive hints that it was considering a bigger role for party supremo Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

Speaking to scribes, party leader Janardhan Dwivedi was reported as saying that there would be an announcement in this regards in the coming days.

Dwivedi also said that late PM Rajiv Gandhi had spoken to him once about what role he saw Priyanka playing in the party, and he would reveal all that in the days to come.

Recent reports have stated that while Sonia Gandhi and Rahul are away addressing election rallies ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the Gandhi family daughter has taken over the reins of Congress' 'war-room'.

She is also expected to campaign in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi and Rae Bareilly Lok Sabha constituencies.
