Stars Football Club (GSFC) in a celebrity football match at the
Cooperage Ground in Mumbai.
All Stars Football Club emerged victorious, beating Gold Stars Football Club 2-0.
All Stars Football Club is India’s first celebrity football club featuring Bollywood stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Dino Morea, and Sachin Joshi among others. Gold Stars Football Club is owned by Shilpa Shetty's husband and entrepreneur Raj Kundra.
Abhishek Bachchan, who captained the All Stars Football Club, posted on Twitter: Great win by the All Stars! 2:0. As a captain, so, so proud of the team and their fighting spirit. Each and every player. Well played boyz! Thank you to @TheRajKundra and his Gold Stars team. Well played."
Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is an avid football fan, told PTI: "I love football. I have been playing the game since school. I carry a football with me, all the time and play with my crew."
The proceeds from the match, which amounted to Rs 30 lakhs, was donated to a non-profit organisation Magic Bus.
